Boating is better than the park!

We had such a wonderful weekend with our friends in Ephrata. Aly told me that going on the boat was better than the park. If you know Aly the park is probably her favorite thing to do, so this was a big deal that something could top the park. Brian and I love skiing and just hanging on the boat. We hope to have a boat one day. The weekend was wonderful with old friends!!

Grammy's Birthday


Grammy had a birthday and so of course we all wanted to celebrate. The kids make things so much fun. We had birthday hats and these were fake moustaches.

Aly finally started preschool and she absolutely loves it! From what she tells us things are going great, I am not sure that she talks to anyone but she is having a fun. It is a nice time for Blake and I to be together just the two of us.

Camping

We had so much fun camping as a family. This was the only time that Brian and I have camped alone. We like company but we had fun. Camping is such a great family thing to do. For one it is cheap and two there are so many funny stories you have to tell when you come home.
Brian saved both Blake and Nellie's (the dog) life this trip. Blake was being a boy and almost walked directly into the fire, Brian quickly pushed him over in the opposite direction of the fire. Nellie was chasing a squirrel and fell off the cliff, luckily she was dangling by her leash.
There are always interesting people camping around you and we were able to watch them interact and realize we are so "normal."
The kids roasted marshmallows and decided they just wanted to eat the non roasted marshmallows off the stick and almost poke their eyes out. I don' t know if Blake is accident prone or just a boy. I am thinking just a boy.
We are so excited for our next camping trip, hopefully someone else will go with us so if I forget a few necessary items they will have them!!
