Grandma Witherow's Memorial Service

My grandmother passed away so we traveled to Walla Walla for her service. It was a celebration of her life. She lived to be 93 and now she is in heaven! It was a fun time with the family who we haven't seen since her 90th bday party.

Blake loves the chicks.

Blake loves the chicks, almost chickens. They are big already. But Blake still likes them and picks them up. I don't know if they like being picked up but he does it. Here is is trying to feed them bird seeds.


This last picture was almost 2 weeks earlier and they have gotten many more feathers.

Blake is a Big Boy!

Blake decided about 3 weeks ago that he was ready to be a big boy. Now he is peeing and finally pooping in the big boy potty!! Ya we are so excited!!
He loves to mow the lawn like his daddy. He just pushes his lawn mower over and over the yard, it is pretty cute. Then he also entertains himself by swiffering the floor. The kids are so funny!



This is the kids planting the garden, so we have no idea where the vegetables are going to come up. I tried to show them the rows to plant them but Blake just made his own rows??

Our new baby chicks

The beginning of May we decided to get 5 baby chicks, one for each of us, (including the dog).
There names are Princess Aurora, Thomas, Kung Pao, Sprinkle, and Raskal. There are only 2 that we can tell who they are, Princess Aurora and Sprinkle. If Blake asks which one is Thomas we just point to any chick, he doesn't care really.
I had no idea how stupid chicks are. You stick food down for them and if is in a new spot it takes them a long while to figure out it is there food. They are fun to watch and grow. They grow so fast. We have had them for 2 weeks now and they are getting huge. Everyday we can tell they are bigger. I guess that is what happens when all they do is eat and poop.
We had them in the house for a few days but now they have moved on to bigger things, the shop. Eventually Brian will make them a chicken coop but they can't live outside yet so we have a bit more time.

Aunt Jen and Esmeralda

Aunt Jen and Alda (as Blake calls her) came to visit us. The kids loved having them come and visit. Aly just wishes they would stay the night at our house. She loves company and sleep overs. After some hanging out at the house we went downtown for Art Walk.
This was the kids dancing to the cool music at Art Walk for 5 minutes because it was freezing. But the kids had fun!
I can't believe Aly even held the flower seeing as there was a worm on it.

Our Bend Adventure

This was Brian and I enjoying a beautiful summer day skiing. As this picture was being taken our faces were being burned intensely by the sun. We had fun skiing but the next few days were painful as we dealt with ugly sun burns. Even now almost 3 weeks later Brian still has a tan line from wearing his hat backwards. We learned our lesson never again will we not put on sunscreen!

The Summit was open which was were Brian proposed to me 10 years ago. It is rarely open because of the wind so it was a great treat to ski up there!
Blake doesn't love swimming as much as his sister, see how he is clinging to Brian's neck.
Aly LOVES swimming. It was cold out and Aly still loved being in the pool. Blake and I hung out mainly in the hot tub, the pool was a bit chilly for us.
The got a very nice new playground at the condo and we all enjoyed it!





Hiking, there are some little trails right near the condo so we went for a hike. It was perfect for the kids!

Like Father like son

I know they are wearing the same color shirt but I thought they looked so cute sleeping together on the couch. I also thought they looked like father and son. Everyone always says Blake looks just like his daddy!

The tulips

I haven't been on here in a while so these pictures are a month or so old, but still cute and worth sharing. We went to the tulip festival way up north with my cousin Mindy and my Aunt Phyllis. We had a great time, but we were freezing and there were hardly any tulips probably because it was so cold. But the few flowers we did get to see the kids enjoyed. It was fun to hang out with family!
