Cash the cat we only had for 2 weeks.

So this stray cat wandered to our house. Yes, out in the middle of nowhere. We think it was an irresponsible neighbor's kitten. Anyways, the kids loved this cat and they really wanted to keep it. I saw dollar signs for getting it spayed/neutered etc, and more work for me. So when the kitten was so sadly infested with fleas; I hurriedly cleaned her up and put her on craigslist. The kids still talk about Cash and how they wish we still had her. I am not sad at all. But now the kids have some cute pictures to remember her by.

The big 3-0

So my best friend from 3rd grade, Stacy and I just celebrated turning 30. Her parents had a little party for Stacy at their house. It was great, we laughed a lot! They are like my 2nd family. I have known them forever.

The next weekend Stacy and I treated ourselves to a facial in Portland. It was very relaxing!! Then we went shopping in Portland. I can't believe we have been friends forever. Here's to the next 30. HAHA
Where have I been with the blogging? I just don't know. I have not been keeping up.

Life is plugging along and I can't believe it is almost Christmas. I love this time of year and I love all that has to do with Christmas. Soon it will be 2010! That just looks weird.

We have got eggs coming out of our ears

Aly's new haircut which I absolutely love. She loves it as well.


Blake holding 2 eggs that our chickens just laid. This is such a new thing for us to have chickens and the whole egg laying thing. But they finally are laying eggs and we have had at the most 4 eggs a day. We only have 4 chickens and they probably won't lay eggs every day so on average we might have 3 eggs. But it is too many for us. We will need to share some eggs for sure. For those who know me quite well know I have just recently started eating eggs. At first I wasn't sure about eating eggs that OUR chickens laid but I have opened myself up to trying them and they don't taste any different . Aly still won't eat them but eventually maybe when she turns 30 she will start eating them too. If you need any eggs give us a call we need to get rid of tons of eggs!!

Grandma Frances urn could only fit in their crooked; but really it seemed to fit her well. She wasn't the typical fit in the mold kind of person. She was an extraordinary type of person. The service for her allowed me to understand more of Brian's dad's family. Oh, Brian's Grandma was a crazy women. I think I got to know her when she was more subdued.
This is Brian's Aunt Judy, Uncle Wally and Dad. He has such a nice family, though they don't frequently see each other.

Fun Times in Pullman

The kids went to their first cougar football game and they thoroughly enjoyed it. Today Blake was playing Cougar football. He said they say go cougs go, cougs. It is so cute how they imitate what they really like for a while. He is quite small but maybe he will be a football player? Not my dream for him but what can you do?

Anyways we all had a lot of fun staying with Emily, Jill and Andrew. We hope to make it there again soon. They don't have much time left in college, so we must enjoy it while it lasts.

The new Becky Bowman

Now there are no more Laughlin girls. We have both found the love of our lives and with that has come new last names. So now it is Becky Bowman and we are happy that now we have a new brother in law. Here are lots of pictures from the special day. Aly was so happy to be a flower girl she especially loved getting flowers painted on her fingers.

Way Behind

So summer has flown by and we have had lots of fun times. I haven't posted a blog for a while and now I feel way behind. Here is a recap of our summer, but it seems that September is also a busy but fun month as well!! Lots more pictures to come I am sure.


Our big girl is going to kindergarten in a few weeks. I think she looks so tall and grown up, oh wait maybe it is just the heels on her shoes that she loves. Her grandma made this flower girl dress. (In one day, she is amazing!!)
