Baking Cookies

The kids had so much fun with Aunt Emily and Jill and Grandma. They made sugar cookies, well Blake just ate everything but they had so much fun. Aly was so hyper, having so much fun with all.
The funniest thing was when Jill was playing hide and go seek and put her foot into a bath tub filled with water. ( We have a well and so if the power goes out we won't have water) She is so sweet.
Kevin helped Brian with the flooring for a few hours, it was very nice to have help.





So this is the flooring almost done. I am waiting to take the final picture till the wainscoting and everything is up! Our dining room is getting close to being done!


So while all the snow was falling and trapping us inside Brian was busy working on our new flooring. I love it, we still need to put up trim and transitions but we are getting close to being done.

SO MUCH SNOW

Wednesday
This is day one with the snow fall, not too much had fallen but enough to go sledding. You wouldn't think Aly would love it but she did. The neighbor girl and Aly went down the hill too many times to count. Blake just sat in the snow, he must have been cold but he didn't care he just sat there and watched.
When Brian got home from work Aly wanted to go sledding again so Brian got Blake on the sled. Blake didn't cry but he also wasn't enthused about it.

Thursday
More snow fell. I think now we have over 8 inches of snow which seems like a record snowfall for the area. The roads are bad but driveable at slow speeds.
Friday
Our road trip to California to see Auntie's play was cancelled; due to horrible weather. A 12 hour car ride is long enough I can' t imagine how many hours it would take with so much snow. We are all sad, so we must do something fun to cheer us up. SLEDDING AGAIN
This time Grammy and Pappy and Lindsey came for the fun. I can't believe both Grammy and Pappy both went sledding.
Brian being the crazy man he is. No, he didn't hit the tree but only because of his mad sledding skills (it looks like he might in this picture)

SNOW

The kids enjoyed playing outside in the snow. Aly helped me scrape off my car.
Blake was upset about not being able to push his lawn mower in the snow
They got a special treat with us at Starbucks
I saw this cute idea and so we decided to decorate their door. Aly enjoyed helping, we put a tag on that says they are a Gift from God.
Grandma made them an Advent Calendar, Blake doesn't understand but he sure likes the candy! Thanks for the cute calendar.

Christmas Tree

We found the perfect tree after looking long and hard. This year it was surprisingly warm. Aly did not have enough clothes on and Blake was wearing his "puppy" coat as he calls it.


Blake was watching Brian closely as he cut the tree down.

A Blast from the Past

I have been trying to save pictures to a disk and I am a few years over due. I found this video of Aly and she looks so little. I had to share it with you all. She is about 2 and 1/2, the same age as Blake currently. I can't remember when she was this age. Oh how time flies??
