Camping

We had so much fun camping as a family. This was the only time that Brian and I have camped alone. We like company but we had fun. Camping is such a great family thing to do. For one it is cheap and two there are so many funny stories you have to tell when you come home.
Brian saved both Blake and Nellie's (the dog) life this trip. Blake was being a boy and almost walked directly into the fire, Brian quickly pushed him over in the opposite direction of the fire. Nellie was chasing a squirrel and fell off the cliff, luckily she was dangling by her leash.
There are always interesting people camping around you and we were able to watch them interact and realize we are so "normal."
The kids roasted marshmallows and decided they just wanted to eat the non roasted marshmallows off the stick and almost poke their eyes out. I don' t know if Blake is accident prone or just a boy. I am thinking just a boy.
We are so excited for our next camping trip, hopefully someone else will go with us so if I forget a few necessary items they will have them!!

Brian's grandma moved to Olympia, which is good in the fact that she will be close and sad in the fact that she will be needing more care. Pray for healing for her, and strength she will be starting chemo soon.

Grammy helped Aly with her lemonade stand. She did great, I think she made around $7. People are so kind they see a little kid and they say oh sure I'll buy your lemonade. All in all it was a fun time for all.

BANGS?????


So I had this bright idea to cut bangs for Aly. I have cut her hair before but bangs are a whole new thing. I did not do so well. I cut them WAYYY too short. I don't know how it happened it just happened. I told Brian to come and not to laugh he did a great job. As soon as Aly was outside I was cracking up. I could not believe I had just cut her bangs way too short. I took her to a beautician friend who fixed them as best as she could being 2 inches too short. Aly loves her bangs which I guess is all that matters but they are taking a while to grow on me. I guess when they are finally long enough I will like them. Hopefully they will grow out before preschool starts in a month.

So my friend Rach and I ran the race for the Homeless. It was fun the kids were cheering us on as we were finishing the race. Aly yelled mom have you won the race yet? I said no but I am about to right up there. We tell her that if you finish the race you are a winner. After the adult run they have a small kids run. Aly and her buddy were so excited that they were going to race as well. They both ran the whole way, it might have been a quarter of a mile but they were troopers.
