Jordyn's 1st bday

My sister and her family came up to Washington and we all were able to celebrate Jordyn's 1st bday. Oh how my kids seemed so old. Watching this little 1 year old who had no clue; and really didn't care about presents. It doesn't take too many years before they realize how GREAT bdays are. Blake and Aly talk about their bdays months ahead of time. It was fun to see how a 1 year old does a party. lol
This picture looks like Jordyn is taking out Makaylee's eye. Ouch, I don't think that really happened. Both these little girls are so cute and petite! Their bdays are really close like a week or 2 apart.

I just wanted to mix it up and show you Aly finally losing her first tooth. We were soo excited. I thought the dentist was going to have to pull it. Now she has lost 2 teeth! Wahoo

It was a great idea to have the party at the gymnastics's gym. Very little planning was needed. All the kids loved it!

St. Patrick's Day

I think this picture must have been taken in the morning. They are both looking a bit sleepy. But there is Aly with her daddy who she loves so very much.
Blake is starting t-ball soon and he is loving it. The weather has not been great for playing outside. I can't wait till the RAIN stops for a while!!

We had green potatoes for St. Patrick's day. The kids liked the whole color thing. I tried to tell Aly all about getting induced with her and how I didn't want her born on St. Patrick's day. She didn't want to hear it. But thankfully she was born at 1:20am on March 18th! Pictures to come soon of her very fun gymnastics party! It was a great party!

Our Trip to Idaho-Feb 2011

Our Trip to Idaho was a last minute trip. Oh wait, pretty much everything we do is last minute. Thankfully Brian and I work well on this type of schedule. It works great for us. Aly doesn't love it. But maybe by the time she is 18 she will have grown to love it/us or she will move out.
Anyways I don't really mean that. That would mean in 11 years she will move out and I am just not ready for that.
Here are the kiddos who had a great time together. They didn't even seem to notice we hadn't seen each other for so many months. This was our exploration around their soon to be backyard.
The best friends! Why God allowed us to all move away from each other is still a mystery. But wow do we appreciate them now more than ever.

We all enjoyed the trampoline. But the kids were out there frequently. Well, all the kids but Blake who only wanted to jump by himself. He is kind of a runt compared to the rest of the bunch. But he is a one jumper trampoline kind of guy.
I wish I had taken a picture of this but right behind the kids on the trampoline are tons and tons of cows. As I was jumping on the trampoline it was hilarious to me that my view was cows. They definitely live on a farm. We had the best trip ever. The only thing that would have been better was all of us in MEXICO! Oh well another time. We can't wait to make our girl's trip (plus Blake) in April!

I enjoy reading random people's blogs


So I have a few blogs that I follow regularly. Brian would say I am stalking these people. I am really not. It is just interesting to read people's blogs and hear what is going on in their lives. Most of the blogs I read I will never meet these women. They live all over the country but we share some things in common. Trying to raise kids who love Jesus and trying to be the person God wants us to be. It is funny how God can use these people from who knows where to speak to me.

Paraphrased version of Philipians 4-7

Come to me with a thankful heart, so that you can enjoy my presence. This is the day that I have made. I want you to rejoice today, refusing to worry about tomorrow. Search for all that I have prepared for you, anticipating abundant blessings and accepting difficulties as they come. I can weave miracles into the most mundane day if you keep your focus on me. Come to me with all your needs, knowing that my glorious riches are a more than adequate supply. Stay in continual communication with me, so that you can live above your circumstances even while you are in the midst of them. This past week dealing with the smallest thing (it felt huge to me). This verse was my constant reminder not to worry. It was amazing how I felt peace that was WAY beyond me.

I love my kids and here is a random picture of Blake. Aly seems too grown up these days to make silly faces. Not exactly but Blake would rather make weird faces than be normal.
